On September 22, 1972, an enemy named Thaong Phorn, defected to national military authority in Battalion No. 528. They also brought a chinese gun No. 13030155, with 40 bullets. The source confessed that after an event took place on March 18, 1970, Khmer Viet Cong evacuated his family to Samlot village. Then he served in enemy movement in special unit for attacking. He was under the command of two Vietnamese: Sun and Soeun.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២២ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ មានខ្មាំងម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ ថោង ផនបានមកសុំសារភាពជាមួយអាជ្ញាធរយោធាជាតិ នៃកងវរសេនាតូចទី៥២៨ ដោយបាននាំយកកាំភើ្លងដៃចិនមួយដើម លេខ១៣០៣០១៥៥ និងគ្រាប់៤០គ្រាប់ មកជាមួយផង។ ប្រភពសារភាពថា ក្រោយព្រឹតិ្ដ-ការណ៍ថ្ងៃទី១៨ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧០ ពួកខ្មែរយៀកកុងបានកៀរគ្រួសាររបស់សាម៉ីជនឱ្យទៅនៅភូមិសំឡូត។ បន្ទាប់មកសាម៉ីជនក៏បានចូលបម្រើក្នុងចលនាខ្មាំង ដែលមានមុខងារជាកងទ័ពពិសេសសម្រាប់ដើរវាយប្រហារ ដែលសិ្ថតនៅក្រោមបញ្ជាយួនពីរនាក់ គឺឈ្មោះ សុន និង សឿន។
