Som Kol is PTSD victim. She got married to Khon Khat in 1983. They now got divorced. She has one daughter. Her father called Um Som died between 1975-1976 because of starvation. Her mother called Pin Kan is now 70 years old. Kol was imprisoned in Sang in 1978. In the Khmer Rouge regime, she was lacking of food, water, and medical care. She was imprisonment. She was brainwashed. She was close to death. She was forced to separate from her family members. She saw the murder of strangers. She was in a situation where her life was in danger. She had suffocated from 1986-1987. She was beaten on the head in 2004. She lost consciousness once. Recently, she has recurrent thoughts of the most hurtful events. She has recurrent nightmares. She feels withdrawn. She is unable to feel emotions. She feels jumpy. She has difficulties in concentrating. She has trouble sleeping. She feels irritable. She is avoiding activities that remind her of the traumatic events. She is less interest in her daily activities. She feels as if she does not have a future. She feels hopelessness. She feels as if she is going crazy. She feels that she is the only one who suffered the events. She feels that she has no one to rely on.
សោម កុលមានជំងឺបាក់ស្បាត។ គាត់រៀបការជាមួយខុន ខាត់នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៨៣។ ពួកគេលែងលះគ្នាហើយ។ គាត់មានកូនស្រីម្នាក់។ ឪពុកឈ្មោះអ៊ុម សោមស្លាប់ចនេ្លាះឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥-១៩៧៦ដោយសារការអត់ឃ្លាន។ ម្ដាយឈ្មោះពិន កានបច្ចុប្បន្នអាយុ៧០ឆ្នាំ។ កុលធ្លាប់ជាប់គុកសង្ឃនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៨។ នៅសម័យខែ្មរក្រហម គាត់ខ្វះខាតម្ហូបម្ហា ទឹក ថ្នាំពេទ្យព្យាបាល។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ជាប់ឃុំឃាំង។ គាត់ត្រូវគេអប់រំអោយផ្លាស់ប្ដូរគំនិត។ គាត់ជិតតែនឹងត្រូវស្លាប់ខ្លួន។ គាត់ត្រូវខែ្មរក្រហមបំបែកចេញពីសមាជិកគ្រួសារដោយបង្ខំ។ គាត់ឃើញឃាតកម្មនៃជនណាម្នាក់រឺច្រើននាក់។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ជួបស្ធានការណ៍ដែលធើ្វអោយគាត់រន្ធត់និងមានគ្រោះថ្នាក់។ គាត់មានអាការៈថប់ដងេ្ធីមពីឆ្នាំ១៩៨៦-១៩៨៧។ គាត់ត្រូវរបួសក្បាលនៅឆ្នាំ២០០៤។ គាត់ធ្លាប់សន្លប់បាត់បង់ស្មារតីមួយដង។ បច្ចុប្បន្ន គាត់ចេះតែធ្វើឱ្យនឹកឃើញជារឿយៗដល់ហេតុការណ៍ឈឺចាប់បំផុតរបស់គាត់។ គាត់យល់សប្ដិអាក្រក់ជារឿយៗ។ គាត់គិតថាមិនរវីរវល់ជាមួយអ្នកដទៃ។ គាត់ពុំអាចនឹងសប្បាយចិត្ដសោះ។ គាត់ឆាប់ភ្ញាក់ផ្អើល។ គាត់ពិបាកប្រមូលអារម្មណ៍គិតលើរឿងអី្វមួយ។ គាត់ពិបាកក្នុងការទទួលទានដំណេក។ គាត់ឆាប់ខឹង។ គាត់ចង់ជៀសវាងនូវសកម្មភាពដែលធើ្វឱ្យគាត់នឹកដល់ហេតុការណ៍ក្រៀមក្រំចិត្ដរបស់គាត់។ គាត់ពុំសូវចាប់អារម្មណ៍នឹងសកម្មភាពរាល់ថៃ្ងរបស់គាត់។ គាត់គិតថាគាត់ហាក់ដូចជាគ្មានអនាគតទៅថៃ្ងមុខ។ គាត់អស់សង្ឃឹម។ គាត់គិតថាគាត់ហាក់ដូចជាចង់ទៅជាឆ្កួត។ គាត់គិតថាមានតែគាត់ម្នាក់គត់ដែលទទួលរងនូវការឈឺចាប់ទាំងនោះ។ គាត់គិតថាហាក់ដូចជាគ្មានអ្នកគួរអោយពឹងពាក់បាន។
