A source reported on May 24, 1972, at 4:00 am, a group of Viet Congs, who hid themselve in Phnom Psak at VT:994-577, gathered 300 armed forces from Sangkats and divided them into groups and deployed them near Am Peou Prey village at VT:906-614, and Toek Noem village at VT:897-594, Sangkat Kandaok, Kandal Stung district. The source added that 30 others hid themselves in Ach Kok at VT:951-621, and were planning to cross Ta Kmao, a small river and surround Takhmao provincial town.
