Sam Sophoan is PTSD victim. She is currently working as a farmer and a teacher. She has two children. Her father called Sam Huot. Her father was sent to kill in 1975. Her mother was also sent to kill.In the Khmer Rouge regime, she was lacking of food, medical care, and shelter. She was imprisoned. She had a serious injury.She was in combat situation. She used to be brainwashed. She was close to death.She was separated from her family members. She was lost.She was tortured. She was in a situation where her life was in danger.Recently, she has recurrent thoughts or memories of the most hurful events. She feels as though the event is happening again. She feels jumpy. She is difficult in concentrating. She has trouble sleeping.She feels on guard. She is avoiding activities that remind her of the traumatic events. She feels as if she does not have a future. She is avoiding thoughts associated with the traumatic experience.She is sudden emotional. She blames herself for things that have happended. She feels ashamed of the traumatic events that have happened to her.She feels as if she is going crazy.She find out that she has done something that she cannot remember.
សោម សោភ័ណមានជំងឺបាក់ស្បាត។ បច្ចុប្បន្នគាត់ជាកសិករផងនិងជាគ្រូបង្រៀនផង។ គាត់មានកូនពីរនាក់។ ឪពុកឈ្មោះសោម ហួតហើយត្រូវខែ្មរក្រហមយកទៅសម្លាប់នៅក្នុងឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥។ ហើយម្ដាយក៏គេយកទៅសម្លាប់ដែរ។ នៅសម័យខែ្មរក្រហមគាត់ខ្វះខាតម្ហូបម្ហា ថ្នាំពេទ្យនិងជម្រកស្នាក់នៅ។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ជាប់ឃុំឃាំង។ គាត់ធ្លាប់រងរបួសធ្ងន់។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ជួបប្រទះការប្រយុទ្ធនៅសមរភូមិ។ គាត់ធ្លាប់គេអប់រំអោយផ្លាស់ប្ដូរគំនិត។ គាត់បិះនឹងស្លាប់ខ្លួន។ គាត់ត្រូវគេបំបែកចេញពីសមាជិកគ្រួសារ។ គាត់ធ្លាប់វងេ្វង។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ត្រូវគេធើ្វទារុណកម្មលើ។ គាត់ធ្លាប់ជួបស្ធានការណ៍ដែលរន្ធត់ធើ្វអោយជីវិតគាត់រងគ្រោះថ្នាក់។ បច្ចុប្បន្នគាត់ចេះតែគិតដល់ព្រឹត្ដការណ៍ឈឺចាប់។ គាត់គិតថាព្រឹត្ដការណ៍ទាំងនោះកំពុងតែកើតឡើងថ្មីៗ។ គាត់ឆាប់ភ្ញាក់ផ្អើល។ គាត់ពិបាកនៅក្នុងការផ្ចង់គំនិត។ គាត់ចេះតែប្រុងខ្លួនជានិច្ច។ គាត់ឆាប់ផ្ទុះកំហឹង។ គាត់ចង់ជៀសវាងនូវសកម្មភាពណាដែលធើ្វអោយគាត់នឹកដល់ព្រឹត្ដិការណ៍ក្រៀមក្រំចិត្ដ។ គាត់ចង់ជៀសវាងមិនឱ្យគិតអំពីព្រឹត្ដការណ៍ដ៏ក្រៀមក្រំចិត្ដ។ គាត់ឆាប់មានប្រតិកម្មនៅក្នុងចិត្ដ។ គាត់បន្ទោសខ្លួនឯងចំពោហរឿងដែលកើតឡើង។ គាត់អៀនខ្មាសចំពោះរឿងក្រៀមក្រំដែលកើតមានចំពោះគាត់។ គាត់គិតថាហាក់ដូចជាចង់ទៅជាឆ្កួត។ គាត់បានដឹងថាធើ្វអ្វីមួយប៉ុនែ្ដនឹកមិនឃើញសោះ។
