In March 1974, Keo Khom, 20 years-old, a militiaman in Chumpou Prek village, Oudong district, defected to national infantry brigade 13, bringing along one M-79 gun and one cartridge.
He said that he was forced to served as a militiaman and that the militia unit consisted of 15 men, under the command of Talim Arms used in that unit were the following: - One Karabine gun - 3 M-1 guns - 4 M-16 guns - 1 M-79 gun - 1 "60mm" mortar - 4 CKC guns and one machine gun. កែវ ខុំ អាយុ ២០ឆ្នាំ ជាឈ្លបភូមិជំពូព្រឹក ស្រុកឧត្ដុង្គ បានមកចុះ ចូល នឹងកងទ័ពជាតិនៅភូមិត្រពាំងគិន នៅកងពលតូចថើ្មរជើងលេខ១៣ នៅថ្ងៃទី២៨ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ដោយនាំមកនូវអ៊ឹម-១៦មួយដើម, ប្រអប់គ្រប់១។ សាម៉ីជនបានបញ្ជាក់ថាខ្លួនត្រូវបានខ្មាំងកៀរទៅហើយបងំ្ខអោយធើ្វជាឈ្លប ហើយដោយទ្រាំទ្រនឹងការរស់នៅមិនបានក៏រត់ មកសុំចុះចូលនិងកងទ័ពជាតិទៅ។ សម៉ីជនបានបញ្ជាក់ថា ឈ្លបភូមិមានទាំងអស់១៥នាក់មេគេឈ្មោះ តា លឹមនៅក្នុងកងនោះមានប្រើការ៉ា ប៊ីនមួយដើម, អ៊ឹម-១ បីដើម, អ៊ឹម-១៦បួនដើម, អ៊ឹម-៧៩មួយ ដើម, ត្បាល់៦០មម មួយដើម, សេកាសេ៤ដើម, មាត់៣៦មួយដើម។
