Ek On October 11, 1974, Mao, an economic member in region 32, escaped from detention 65 and joined national brigade 27 at Trapeang Kraloeng check-point, which was located at VT 320-580. He said the weapons used in his unit were the following:
- 2 82 mm guns - 3 60 mm guns - 2 sub-machine guns - 250 hand guns and the unit consisted of about 324 soldiers. ឯក ម៉ៅ ជាសមាជិកសេដ្ឋកិច្ច កងវរៈប្រចាំតំបន់៣២ បានរត់ចេញពីមន្ទីរឃុំឃាំងលេខ៦៥ ហើយមកចុះចូលជាមួយកងពលតូចលេខ ២៧ នៅប៉ុស្ដិ៍ត្រពាំងក្រឡឹង ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៣២០-៥៨០ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ១១ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤។ សាម៉ីជនបានឱ្យដឹងថា កាំភ្លើងដែលប្រើ ក្នុងអង្គភាពខាងលើមាន ៨២មីលីម៉ែត្រចំនួន២ដើម ៦០មីលីម៉ែត្រ ៣ដើម មីត្រឺយេុីចំនួន២ដើម កាំភ្លើងដៃប្រហែល២៥០ដើម ហើយ កងទ័ពទាំងអស់មានប្រហែល ៣២៤នាក់។
