A source reported that on December 16, 1971, about 300 Yuon Viet Cong Armed Forces deployed at VT 803-572, in Kab Leav village at VT 812-569, in Mat Boeng village, at VT 811-564 in Daun Vong village, at VT 813-562 and VT 807-554 in Domrey Slab village, Trea commune, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. The source indicated that those enemies attempted to blow up Kampong Dangkao bridge and smash the National Army Base at VT 860-545 in Kampong Dangkao.
ប្រភពបានឱ្យដឹងថា កាលពីថ្ងៃ១៦ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ យៀកកុងយួន ខាងជើងចំនួនប្រហែល៣០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបាន មករាយគ្នានៅភូមិកាប់លាវ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៨០៣-៥៧២ ភូមិ មាត់បឹង វ៉េតេ ៨១២-៥៦៩ ភូមិដូនវង្ស ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៨១១-៥៦៤ និងវ៉េតេ ៨១៣-៥៦២, ភូមិដំរីស្លាប់ វ៉េតេ៨០៧-៥៥៤ ក្នុងឃុំទ្រា ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ថា ខ្មាំងនៅចំណុចខាងលើនេះមានបំណងផ្ដាច់ស្ពានកំពង់ដង្កោ ពិសេស វាយប្រហារកងការពារនៅកំពង់ដង្កោ ត្រង់វ៉េតេ៨ ៦០-៥៤៥។
