A source reported that on December 19, 1971, about 450 North Yuon Viet Cong Armed Forces set up shelters at VT 726-843 in Trapeang Chhouk village, Pon Sang commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province. About 100 Khmer Viet Cong and Yuon Viet Cong came to shelter and hide at VT 797-706, located in Western of Roka Koh forest Phalaeng Chheh Ro Teh commune, Dangkao district, Kandal province.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៩ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ យៀកកុង យួនខាងជើងប្រហែល៤៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានមក តាំងជម្រកក្នុងភូមិត្រពាំងឈូក ត្រង់វ៉េតេ៧ ២៦-៨៤៣ ក្នុងឃុំពន្សាំង ស្រុកអង្គស្នួល ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ប្រភពបានបន្ថែមទៀតថា ខ្មែរយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងប្រហែល១២០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានមកតាំងជម្រក បង្កប់ខ្លួននៅក្នុងព្រៃខាងលិចកោះកុង ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៧៩៧-៧០៦ នៅក្នុងឃុំភ្លើងឆេះរទេះ ស្រុកដង្កោ។
