A source reported that on December 20-21, 1971, about 150 Vietnamese and Khmer Viet Cong Amred Forces came to set up shelters in Sleng village at VT 655-747 and 100 enemies in Northern Damnak Ampel village at VT 665-777, Samraong Lau commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province. The source added that two groups armed to attack the National Army Position in Ang Taloek pagoda at VT 650-762, Samraong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃ២០-២១ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧១ ពួកខ្មែរ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងប្រហែល២៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធបាន តាំងជម្រកនៅក្នុងភូមិស្លែង ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៦៥៥-៧៤៧ ចំនួន១៥០នាក់ និងនៅខាងជើងភូមិដំណាក់អំពិល ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៦៦៥-៧៧៧ ចំនួន១០០នាក់ ក្នុងឃុំសំរោងលើ ស្រុកអង្គស្នួល ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ប្រភពបានបន្ថែមទៀតថា ក្រុមទាំងពីរនោះមានបំណងប្រុងវាយប្រ- ហារទីតាំងការពារជាតិដែលប្រចាំការនៅវត្ដអង្គតាឡឹក ត្រង់វ៉េតេ ៦៥០-៧៦២ នៅសំរោងទង ស្រុកសំរោងទង ខេត្ដកំពង់ស្ពឺ។
