A source reported that on June 19, 1973, about 2,000 North Yuon Viet Congs and Khmer Rebel Armed Forces divided into 3 groups: 100 troops stayed at Sre Thom village at US 775-903, Veal Renh, Prey Nup district. 500 troops deployed at Kbal Prek Tnaot at US 864-714, Koh Tauch commune, Kampot district. Another 500 deployed at US 765-848 and at Sre Thom National Army who were captured by the enemies were sent into detention at Trapeang Rapeou, Kampot district. The source continued that 100 Yuon Viet Cong and 100 Khmer Armed Forces came to set up shetlers at US 963-683, Koh Tauch commune, Kampot district. They aimed to attack National Army in Kampot town.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៩ ខែមិថុនា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យៀក កុងយួនខាងជើង និងខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមចំនួន២០០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធ គ្រប់ធុនបានបំបែកគ្នាជា៣ក្រុម។ ១០០០នាក់ ស្នាក់នៅភូមិស្រែធំ អ៊ុយអេស ៧៧៥-៩០៣ ក្នុងឃុំវាលរិញ ស្រុកព្រៃនប់។ ៥០០នាក់ រាយកគ្នានៅក្បាលព្រែកត្នោត អ៊ុយអេស ៨៦៤-៧១៤ ក្នុង ឃុំកោះតូច ស្រុកកំពត។ ៥០០នាក់ ទៀតបានរាយគ្នានៅត្រង់ចំណុច អ៊ុយអេស ៧៦៥-៨៤៨ និងនៅស្រែធំ។ ចំណែកទាហានកងទ័ពជាតិ ដែលខ្មាំងចាប់បានយកទៅឃុំឃាំងទុកនៅស្ថានីយ៍រទេះភ្លើងត្រពាំងរពៅ អ៊ុយអេស ៨៣៦-៧៤១ ក្នុងឃុំត្រពាំងរពៅ ស្រុកកំពត។ ប្រភពបានបញ្ជាក់ថា យួនយៀកកុង១០០នាក់ និងខ្មែរ១០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយកាំភ្លើងគ្រប់ធុនបានមកតាំងជម្រកនៅអ៊ុយអេស ៩៦៣-៦៨៣ ក្នុងឃុំកោះតូច ស្រុកកំពត ក្នុងគោលបំណងវាយទីតាំងកង ការពារជាតិនៅក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។
