A source reportrd that on December 9, 1972, about 200 Khmer Viet Cong armed with rifles deployed in villages, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. The Khmer Viet Cong had caught 13 villagers who were harvesting rice at VT 886-628 in Po Smat village, Cheung Kep sub district towards Prek Ambel sub District, Sa Ang district, Kandal province.
ប្រភពព័ត៌មានបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃ៩-ធ្នូ-១៩៧២ ខ្មែរយៀក កុងចំនួនប្រហែល២០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានមកនៅរាយ បណ្ដាក់គ្នាតាមភូមិនានាក្នុងស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង។ ពួកខ្មែរយៀកកុងនេះ ចាប់អ្នកស្រុកដែលកំពុងច្រូតស្រូវនៅភូមិពោធិ៍ស្មាត់ ត្រង់ចំណុចវ៉េតេ
