Huon Sok aka Chann Sokha was a commander at platoon 49, company 12, battalion 404, regiment 13 in southwest zone. The person reported that his troops did not intend to continue the fighting because they realized that the war were just the war between Khmer and Khmer, and they did not see any American soldiers fought against Vietnamese. And they also cited that the perpose of fighting was to gaining throne for Sihanouk, but in fact, Sihanouk name was used just to persuade people to involve the fighting. Huon Sokh's chief said that the object of fighting was to turne Cambodia into communist country.
ហួន សុខ ហៅ ចន្ទ័ សុខា ជាមេបញ្ជាការកងអនុសេនាតូចលេខ ៤៩ អនុសេនាធំលេខ ១២ វរសេនាតូច ៤០៤ វរសេនាធំ ១៣ ប្រចាំ ភូមិភាគនិរតី។ សាម៉ីខ្លួនបានរាយការណ៍ថា យុទ្ធជនទាំងអស់លែងមាន ទឹកចិត្ដប្រយុទ្ធដោយដឹងវាជាសង្គ្រាមខ្មែរ និងខ្មែរពុំដែលឃើញអាមេរិក ណាម្នាក់ចេញប្រយុទ្ធជាមួយយួនសោះ។ ម៉្យាងទៀតខ្មាំងឃោសនាថា ច្បាំងដើម្បីអំណាចឱ្យសីហនុតែផ្ទុយទៅវិញ ឈ្មោះសីហនុគ្រាន់តែជា ឧបករណ៍របស់ខ្មាំងសម្រាប់ឃោសនាជាមួយប្រជារាស្ដ្រតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ព្រោះមេកើយបានបញ្ជាក់ថាចំបាំងសព្វថ្ងៃគឺច្បាំងដើម្បីឱ្យស្រុកខ្មែរក្លាយជា ប្រទេសកុម្មុយនិស្ដ។
