In the night of August-28-1973, about 1000 North Viet-Cong soldiers traveled by car from Bos Khnol village toward Prek Kot village in Prek Koh sub-district, Stung Trang, and came to stay near Prek Andaung Pring in Krauch Chhmar sub-district-chamkar Leu, Kampong Cham province. Their aim was to attack the defense forces along the stretch of the national road 7 from Traeng up to Kampong Cham.
កាលពីរាត្រីថ្ងៃ២៥-សីហា-១៩៧៣ យៀកកុងយួនខាងជើងចំនួន ប្រហែល១០០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធបានជិះឡានចុះពីភូមិបុសខ្នុរ សំដៅមកភូមិព្រៃកុត ក្នុងសង្កាត់ព្រែកកោះ ស្រុកស្ទឹងត្រង់ រួចមក ស្នាក់នៅបណ្ដោយព្រែកអណ្ដូងព្រីងក្នុងសង្កាត់ក្រូចឆ្មារ ចំការលើ កំពង់ចាម។ គោលបំណងខ្មាំងចងវាយប្រហារទីតាំងកងការពារ បណ្ដោយផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៧ចាប់ពីត្រើងរហូតដល់កំពង់ចាម។
