A source reported that on May 18, 1973, most of the North Yuon Viet Congs Armed Forces in Battalion No. Z-50, came to rest in Sam Sas pagoda at UU 455-785 in Bakan sub-district, Bakan district, Pursat province for a week. They later moved to Kuoch Chik Dei district, Maong district, Battambang province, where they stayed and attempted to dig large trenches for defensive purposes.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៨ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ កងទ័ព យួនខាងជើងក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូចលេខហ្សិត៥០ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធ យ៉ាងទំនើប និងកងទ័ពមួយចំនួនទៀតបានចូលមកសម្រាកមួយអាទិត្យ នៅក្នុងវត្ដសាំ-សះ ត្រង់ចំណុចអ៊ុយអ៊ុយៈ៤៥៥-៧៨៥ ក្នុងសង្កាត់បាកាន ស្រុកបាកាន ខេត្ដពោធិ៍សាត់ ទើបបន្ដដំណើរ ទៅកាន់ឃុំគួចជីកដី ក្នុងស្រុកមោង ខេត្ដបាត់ដំបង។ ពិសេសខ្មាំង បានជីកលេណដ្ឋានយ៉ាងធំៗ ជាច្រើនទុកសម្រាប់ការពារខ្លួនទៀតផង។
