Between 23 and 27 May 1973, some 60 Viet Cong khmers equipped with guns and under the command of Nory deployed themselves in Cham Nay VT:497-533, VT:502-532, where they also dug trenches.
ចាប់តាំងពីថ្ងៃទី២៣ រហូតដល់ថ្ងៃទី២៧ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ មាន ខ្មែរយៀកកុងប្រហែល៦០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធសិ្ថតក្រោមបញ្ជាឈ្មោះ នយ បានចូលមករាយបណ្ដាក់គ្នានៅតាមភូមិអ្នកស្រុកមួយចំនួនដូចជាៈ ភូមិចំណាយត្រង់វ៉េតេៈ៤៩៧-៥៣៣ និងត្រង់វ៉េតេៈ ៥០២-៥៣២ ដោយមានជីកលេណដ្ឋានសំរាប់ការពារផង។
