A source said that on May 28-29, 1973, some 200 to 300 Khmer Rebels Armed Forces transported 82mm mortars and six 75mm shells in 6 ox-carts and buried the equipment in Sangkat Roka Khpuos, Sa-Ang district, Kandal province. The enemies attempted to capture the National Road to Sa-Ang and attack Takhmao town shortly thereafter.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៨ ទៅ២៩ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមចំនួនប្រហែល២០០ ទៅ៣០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានដឹកជញ្ជូនគ្រាប់កាំភើ្លងត្បាល់ទំហំ ៨២មម និងគ្រាប់កាណុងឥតធាក់ថយទំហំ៧៥មម ចំនួន៦រទេះគោ យកមកលាក់ទុកនៅក្នុងសង្កាត់រការខ្ពស់ ស្រុកស្អាង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ជាពិសេសខ្មាំងមានបំណងវាយផ្ដាច់យកផ្លូវស្អាងហើយឡើងមកវាយប្រហារក្រុងតាខ្មៅ នៅក្នុងពេលឆាប់ៗ។
