On 7 september 1973, chief of khmer rebels military committee ordered his troop to establish check points and observe the activities of the national troop in Po Pol Pok village, Trapeang Russei sub-district, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom province. Their check points were at every region of Kampong Thom. In addition, Khmer rebels went to Kampong Cham only left 10 to 20 forces for protecting their militiamen.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៧ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ប្រធានគណៈកម្មាធិការផ្នែក យោធាខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម បានចេញបញ្ជាឱ្យកងទ័ពវាតាំងប៉ុសិ៍្ដពិនិត្យ និង ឃ្លាំមើលសកម្មភាពកងទ័ពយើងនៅក្នុងភូមិពពលពក សង្កាត់ត្រពាំង ឫស្សី ស្រុកកំពង់ស្វាយ ខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ។ ពួកវាបានតាំងប៉ុសិ៍្ដត្រួតពិនិត្យគ្រប់តំបន់ ដែលនៅជិតក្រុងកំពង់ធំទាំងមូល។ ប្រភពបន្ថែមទៀតថាៈ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមបានធើ្វសកម្មភាពនៅក្នុងខេត្ដកំពង់ចាមអស់ហើយ ដោយទុកកម្លាំងរបស់វាតែ១០ ឬ ២០នាក់សម្រាប់ជួយការពារដល់ កងឈ្លបប៉ុណ្ណោះ។
