On August 22, 1971, maybe 60 Viet Congs injured were transported to operate and stayed in 4 tiled roofed detached houses at WU 137-811, located 700m far away from Kampong Thma town, and at W 139-816 in sangkat Balang, Baray district, Kampong Thom province. A bout 100 Viet Cong enemies dug down and tunnelled under the street , which ran from the West to the East of Kampong Thma school at W 141-815, 142-814, 143-813 and 144-814, in sangkat Balang, Baray district. The source reported that about 60 Viet Cong enemies established headquarters on a long river at W 142-818, in the East of Kampong Thma down town, Baray district, Kampong Thom province.
