On November 7, 1974, Mam Thann, a former combatant in Platoon 2, Company 1, Battalion 744, North Zone, was arrested by National Army. On Saeptember 13, 1974, this person had been forcibly evacuated to serve in the unit above. He confessed that there were 300 soldiers in Battalion 744, under a commander An, and deputy commander Yong. The unit had the following weapons:
-82mm heavy artilleries. -60mm heavy artillerries. -B-40 and B-41 guns -Machine guns, KA-47 guns, CKC guns, M-16 guns, and M-79 guns. កាលពីថ្ងៃ៧ វិច្ឆិកា ១៩៧៤ កងទ័ពជាតិបានចាប់ខ្លួនឈ្មោះ ម៉ម ថាន់ អតីតយុទ្ធជនក្នុងកងអនុសេនាតូច២ អនុសេនាធំ១ វរសេនាតូច៧៤៤ ភូមិភាគឧត្ដរ។ នៅថ្ងៃ ១៣ ខែកញ្ញា ១៩៧៤ ម៉ម ត្រូវបានកេណ្ឌឱ្យចូលបម្រើក្នុងកងឯកភាពខាងលើ។ ម៉ម បាន សារភាពថា ក្នុងវរសេនាតូច៧៤៤ មានទ័ព៣០០នាក់ ចែកចេញជា៣អនុសេនាធំ ទៀតដែលនៅក្រោមមេបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ អាន និង អនុប្រធានឈ្មោះ យ៉ង់។ ក្នុងកងឯកភាពនេះមានប្រីអាវុធប្រភេទ កាំភ្លើងត្បាល ៨២មម, ៦០មម, បេ៤០, បេ៤១, មីត្រីយើ៣០, អាកា៤៧, សេកាសេ, អ៊ឹម១៦ និង អ៊ឹម៧៩។
