On May 8, 1972, 800 Yuon Viet Cong soldiers in Divisiion 6225 deployed from Prey Kabass district and Koh Thom district towards Phsak mountain at WT
964-576, in sangkat Sa Ang Phnom, Sa Ang district, Kandal province in an attempt to attack Takhmau and Phnom Penh. កាលពីថ្ងៃ ៨ ឧសភា ១៩៧២ មានពួកខ្មាំងយួនយៀកកុងក្នុង កងពលលេខ៦២២៥ មានគ្នា៨០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធបានឡើងពី ស្រុកព្រៃកប្បាស, ស្រុកកោះធំ សំដៅទៅប្រជុំកងទ័ពនៅភ្នំផ្សាក ត្រង់ ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េអ៊ុយ ៩៦៤-៥៧៦ សង្កាត់ស្អាងភ្នំ ស្រុកស្អាង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ក្នុងគោលបំណងឡើងមកវាយសម្រុកយក ក្រុងតាខ្មៅ និងក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។
