A source reported that on February 23, 1972, about 300 Khmer Viet Cong armed forces under the commander Pok Sokhchamraen, and deputy commander Pao Hour, departed from Sa Ang Sre mountain at VT 964-553, sangkat Sa Ang Phnom and themselves in Ampao Prey village at VT 908-617, Sleng village at VT 858-575, sangkat Cheung Keb at VT 908-621, and sangkat Kandaok at VT 873-602. The source indicated that the enemies were about to attack the security forces in Kandal Stung district.
