On May, 13, 1972, about 200 North Yuon Viet-Cong soldiers equipped with 3 heavy guns, left Damrei Slab village VT 807-553 and deployed themselves in Chhae Neang village VT 770-567, Sangkat Tbeng, Kandal Stung district, Kandal province. The source added that their reinforcements would assist them in an attempt to destroy Monivong bridge and the Radio station in Stung Meanchey.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ ១៣ ឧសភា ១៩៧២ មានយៀកកុងយួនខាងជើង ប្រដាប់អាវុធប្រហែល២០០នាក់ មានកាំភ្លើងធំ៣ដើម បានចេញពី ភូមិដំរីស្លាប់វេតេ ៨៦៧-៥៥៣ មករាយគ្នាលាក់ខ្លួននៅភូមិ ឈើនាងវេតេ ៧៥០-៥៧០ រហូតដល់វេតេ ៧៧០-៥៦៧ ក្នុង សង្កាត់ត្បែង ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ប្រភពរាយការណ៍ បន្ដថា ពួកនេះមានបំណងនឹងឡើងមកបន្ថែមជំនួយទ័ពគ្នាវា ដើម្បី ឈ្លបចូលមកកមេ្ទចស្ពានមុនីវង្ស និងប៉ុសិ៍្ដវិទ្យុស្ទឹងមានជ័យ។
