A source reported that on February 23, 1972, about 150 to 200 Viet Congs departed from Prey Pnao village at WT 375-867, to hide themselves in the houses of local people in Khsaok village at WT 398-803, sangkat Popil, Prey Veng district. They intended to hide in village near Prey Veng.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់ព័ត៌មានមកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃ ២៣ កុម្ភៈ ១៩៧២ យៀក កុងប្រហែល១៥០ ទៅ២០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានចេញ ដំណើរពីភូមិព្រៃព្នៅ ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េ ៣៧៥-៨៦៧ ចូលទៅលាក់ ខ្លួនតាមផ្ទះអ្នកស្រុកនៅភូមិខ្សោក ត្រង់ចំណុចឌុបដឺវ៉េ ៣៩៨-៨០៣ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ពពិស ស្រុកព្រៃវែង។ គោលបំណងរបស់ពួកខ្មាំងគឺធ្វើ ដំណើរទៅលាក់ខ្លួននៅតាមភូមិស្ថិតនៅជិតព្រៃវែង។
