On August 20, 1973, about 300 Khmer guerrillas, equipped with guns in Battalion 113, came to position in Prek Chik, Tram Seh villages in Kuy Chik Dei sub-district, Mong Russey, Battambang province. On other hand, about 12 Khmer guerrillas were assigned to hide themselves in Chke Kham Proes, Siem, Khnach Kach Pur, and Au Ta Mok villages in order to spy and raid on the Natioal Armed Forces Base.
កាលថ្ងៃទី២០ សីហា ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមចំនួនប្រមាណ៣០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ នៅក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច១១៣។ ឧទ្ទាម ទាំងនេះបានមកតាំងនៅក្នុងភូមិព្រែកជីក និងត្រាំសេះ ក្នុងឃុំ គួយ ជីកដី ស្រុកមោង ខេត្ដបាត់ដំបង។ ហើយម៉្យាងទៀត ពួកវាបាន ចាត់តាំងកម្លាំងរបស់វា១២នាក់ ឱ្យទៅរាយគ្នានៅក្នុងភូមិឆ្កែខាំប្រឹស ភូមិសៀម ខ្នាចកាច់ពោធិ និងអូតាម៉ុក ដើម្បីយកការណ៍ និងធ្វើ សកម្មភាពវាយឆ្មក់។
