On August 22, 1973, about 200 armed Khmer guerrillas moved from Russey Srok village in Chheu Teal sub-district to deploy and hid themselve in Prek Thmey and Prek Eng sub-district in Kean Svay district, Kandal province. Those ememies above attempted to attack the National Armed Forces Base in Robos Angkanh, and to cut off national road ៈ1 from Prek Eng village to Veal Sbeur village in the near future.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ ២២ សីហា ១៩៧៣ ពួកខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រមាណ២០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធទំនើបៗគ្រប់ដៃ បានធ្វើដំណើរចេញពីភូមិឫស្សី ឃុំឈើទាល មកលាក់ខ្លួននៅតាមមាត់បឹងច្រកក្រហមក្នុងឃុំព្រែកថ្មី រហូតដល់ឃុំព្រែកឯង ស្រុកគៀនស្វាយ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។ ពួកខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ទាំងនេះមានបំណងវាយលុកទីតាំងកងទ័ពជាតិយើងនៅរបស់អង្កាញ់ និងផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ១ ត្រង់ព្រែកឯងរហូតដល់វាលស្បូវក្នុងពេល ឆាប់ៗនេះ។
