On August 18, 1973, about 200 armed Khmer guerrillas came to deploy and hid themselve in villages near out-skirts of Kampong Speu province as following:
- About 50 armed Khmer guerrillas hid themselve in Bak Thmenh village at VT498-629. - About 150armed Khmer guerrillas hid themselves in Ha Lieb village at VT527-628. - About 50 armed Khmer guerrillas hid themselves in Chuon At at VT505-598. These enemies above attempted to attack our National Armed Forces Base in Kampong Speu town and also ambushed our armed forces who were going down to operate in those villages. កាលពីថ្ងៃ ១៨ សីហា ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រមាណ២០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានមករាយគ្នាលាក់ខ្លួននៅក្នុងភូមិនានា ក្បែរជាយក្រុងកំពង់ស្ពឺដូចជាៈ ក្នុងភូមិបាក់ធេ្មញត្រង់វ៉េតេ៤៩៨-៦២៩ ចំនួន៥០នាក់-នៅក្នុងភូមិហាលាបត្រង់វ៉េតេ៥២៧-៦២៨ ចំនួន១៥០នាក់។ ក្នុងភូមិដួនអាត់ វ៉េតេ៥០៥-៥៩៨ ចំនួន៥០ នាក់។ ពួកខ្មាំងទាំងនេះមានបំណងប្រុងវាយប្រហារទីតាំងកងទ័ព ជាតិយើង នៅក្រុងកំពង់ស្ពឺ ព្រមទាំងពួនស្ទាក់វាយកងទ័ពជាតិ ដែលចុះទៅ ប្រតិបត្ដិការនៅក្នុងសរមភូមិនានាត្រង់ចំនុចខាងលើនេះ។
