On August 08, 1973, one regiment of Khmer rebels under the command of Ta Sros, came to deploy in Koh-Khchong at US: 665-656 in Sre Cham district, Kampong Som province. Those Khmer guerrillas were responsible for dominating and protecting in Viel Renh region, Kampong Sela region, Kampot province and Kampong Som province.
កាលពីថ្ងៃ ០៨ សីហា ១៩៧៣ មានកងទ័ពខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ១កងវរសេនាធំ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះ តាស្រស់ បានធ្វើដំណើរមករាយគ្នាស្នាក់ នៅកោះខ្ចងត្រង់ចំនុចយូអេស៦៦៥-៦៥៦ ឃុំស្រែចាម ក្រុងកំពង់សោម។ ពួកខ្មាំងទាំងនេះមានតួនាទីត្រួត ពិនិត្យការពារតំបន់ វាលរិញ កំពត កំពង់សិលា ក្រុងកំពង់សោម។
