A source said on August 17, 1973 about 350 armed Khmer guerrillas in black clothing came to deploy themselves in Trang Tey village at VT789-597 in Trapeang Veng sub-district, Kandal Stung district, Kandal Province.
ប្រភពបានឱ្យដឹងថា នៅថ្ងៃ ១៧ ខែសីហា ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម ប្រហែលជា៣៥០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ ក្នុងសម្លៀក បំពាក់ខ្មៅ បានមករាយគ្នាស្នាក់នៅក្នុងភូមិត្រាំងតីត្រង់ចំនុច វ៉េតេ៧៨៩-៥៩៧ ក្នុងឃុំត្រពាំងវែង ស្រុកកណ្ដាលស្ទឹង ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល។
