A source said on August 08, 1973 at 10h00, about 200 Khmer rebels, equipped with guns, travelled across National road number 26 in the North of Angtalek pagoda at VT650-762 in Samrong sub-district, Peang Lvea district, toward Angrumcheck at VT736-753 in Kambol sub-district, Ang Snuorl district to attack national military base in Bek Chan and to explode highway 4.
តាមប្រភពមកថាៈ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី ៨ ខែ សីហា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ វេលា ម៉ោង១០ មានខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រហែលជា២០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយ អាវុធគ្រប់ដៃបានឆ្លងកាត់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ២៦ នៅខាងជើងវត្ដអង្គ តាឡឹកត្រង់វ៉េតេ៦៥០-៧៦២ ក្នុងឃុំសំរោងទង ស្រុកពាំងល្វា។ ម៉្យាងទៀតកងទ័ពនេះរយៈ បានដើរសំដៅមកកាន់វត្ដអង្គរំចេកត្រង់ ចំនុចវ៉េតេ ៧៣៦- ៧៥៣ ក្នុងឃុំកំបូល ស្រុកអង្គស្នួល ដើម្បី វាយប្រហារមូលដ្ឋានកងទ័ពជាតិនៅបែកចាន និងកាត់ផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវជាតិ លេខ៤។
