A source said that on 26 May 1973, 400 Khmer, Cham and Vietnamese soldiers in Battalion 202 moved from Prek Smach US 887-695 towards Kampong Chen at US 801-809 in an attempt to attack and capture Veal Rinh region during 7 days.
ប្រភពបានផ្ដល់មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៦ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ កងទ័ពចំរុះ ខ្មែរ, យួន, ចាម ប្រហែល៤០០នាក់ ក្នុងកងអនុសេនាតូចលេខ ២០២ បានធ្វើចលនាពីព្រែកស្មាច់ត្រង់ចំណុច អ៊ុយអែស ៨៨៧-៦៩៥ ទៅកំពង់ចិនត្រង់ចំណុចអ៊ុយអែស ៨០១-៨០៩ ក្នុងគោលបំណង វាយដណ្ដើមយកតំបន់វាលរេញក្នុងរយៈពេល៧ថ្ងៃ។
