A source reported that North Viet Congs set up a 120 mm and 82 mm-mortar position in Trapeang Pring village at XU 124-804 and Ten 120 mm and 82 mm mortars in a forest at XU 143-802. A source indicated that the enemies planned to prevent the National Army from reconquering Kratie province town.
