Al least 15,000 Cambodians died of stavation of malnutrition-related diseases in territory held by the United States Backed Government during the way. This was the result of American policy to sustain the Phnom Penh government military war food relief for refugees.
យ៉ាងហោចណាស់ប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា ១៥,០០០នាក់ បានស្លាប់ដោយសារជំង ឹទាក់ទងនឹងកង្វះអាហាររូបត្ថម្ភ នៅក្នុងទឹកដីដែលរដ្ឋាភិបាលអាមេរិកនៅពីក្រោយសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកនៅពីក្រោយខ្នង។ នេះគឺជាលទ្ធផលនៃគោលនយោបាយអាមេរិកដើម្បីទ្រទ្រង់ដល់សង្គ្រាមយោធានូវការសង្គ្រោះសំរាប់ជនភៀសខ្លួន។
