Kampuchean society was her mentally sealed. Contact with outside world was almost completely cut off for nearly four years. The only glimpses that could be found were based on eyewitness accounts of a few tourists and thousands of refugees fled across the border into Thailand.
សង្គមកម្ពុជាត្រូវបានបិទយ៉ាងតឹងរឹងបំផុត ទំនាក់ទំនងជាមួយនឹងពិភព លោកខាងក្រៅសឹងតែត្រូវបានផ្ដាច់ទាំងស្រុងក្នុងរយៈពេលកន្លងទៅជិត៤ ឆ្នាំ ។ ចក្ខុវិស័យតែមួយគត់ដែលអាចរកឃើញគឺផ្ដោត ទៅលើកំណត់ ហេតុសាក្សីរបស់ភ្ញៀវទេសចរណ៍ពីរ-បីនាក់ និងជនភៀសខ្លួន រាប់ពាន់ នាក់ដែលបានរត់ គេចចូលទៅកាន់ព្រំដែនប្រទេសថៃ។
