The mercurial Prince Norodom Sihanouk, who had become a non-person since his resignation as head of state in April 1976, was in the news again. A recent radion Phnom Penh broadcast claimed that Sihanouk, Penn Nouth and their family's present at a banquet in the Cambodian capital sparked speculation about Sihanouk's eventual return to political life.
សមេ្ដចនរោត្ដម សីហនុ ដែលក្លាយជាសាមញ្ញាជនតាំងពីពេលដែលទ្រង់បានលាលែងពីតំណែងជាប្រមុខរដ្ឋនៅក្នុងខែមេសា ១៩៧៦ ដែលត្រូវបានចុះផ្សាយម្ដងទៀត។ វិទ្យុបច្ចុប្បន្ននៅភ្នំពេញបានប្រកាសផ្សាយថាសីហនុ ប៉ែន នុត ព្រមទាំងសមាជិកនៅក្នុងគ្រួសាររស់គាត់ក្នុងពិធីទទួលទានអាហារពេលល្ងាចទីក្រុងនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា ដោយរំពឹងទុកពីការវិលត្រឡប់មកវិញរបស់សីហនុទៅលើឆាកនយោបាយ។
