The groups of anti-communist guerrillas occupied larged jungle areas of Cambodia that the country's new authority didn't attempt to control. Rithysac, head of anti-communist guerrillas said, "the Khmer Rouge are we were and we are where they were."
ក្រុមទ័ពព្រៃប្រឆាំងរបបកុម្មុយនិស្ត បានត្រួតត្រាតំបន់ព្រៃទ្រង់ទ្រាយធំនៅកម"ុជា ដែលអាជ្ញាធរថ្នីនៅប្រទេសមួយនេះមិនបានមានបំណងចង់កាន់កាប់។ រិទ្ធីស័ក ដែលជាមេដឹកនាំទ័ពព្រៃប្រឆាំងរបបកុម្មុយនិស្តបាននិយាយថា «ខ្មែរគីអ្វីដែលធ្លាប់ជាយើង ហើយឥឡូវនេះយើងនៅចំនុចដែលគេធ្លាប់នៅពីមុន »។
