Secretary of State Kissinger said that a terrible toll had been inflicted on the population of Cambodia by the new communist authorities. In a press conference, Kissinger said that the United States has received high estimate of the death toll among Cambodians.
រដ្ឋលេខាធិការ ឃីហ៊ីងហ្គឺ បាននិយាយថា ចំនួនអ្នកស្លាប់ដ៏គួរឱ្យភ័យខ្លាច បានដាក់ទោសលើប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា ដោយអាជ£ាធរកុម្មនិស្ដថ្មី។ នៅក្នុងសន្និសិទសារព័ត៌មាន យីស៊ីងហ្គឺ បាននិយាយថាសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក បានទទួលយកការប៉ាន់ប្រមាណខ្ពស់នៃចំនួនអ្នកស្លាប់(ប្រជាជនកម្ពុជា)។
