Cambodia had to face several challenges simultanously which she could not surmount principally because of the international isolation which was imposed on her by the West and also because of the dramatic consequences of the tragic events of the years 1970-1979.
ប្រទេសកម្ពុជាត្រូវប្រឈមមុខនឹងបញ្ហាជាច្រើនក្នុងពេលដំណាលគ្នាដែល សឹង តែមិនអាចពុះពារបានដោយសារតែកម្មវិធីភាពឯកោអន្ដរជាតិរបស់ សហគមន៍អន្ដរជាតិដែលដាក់មកលើជនភៀសខ្លួនទាំងនោះដោយបណ្ដាល ប្រទេសលោកខាងលិច ហើយក៏ដោយសារតែផលវិបាកគួរឱ្យគត់ សម្គាល់ដែលបានកើតនៅក្នុងព្រឹត្ដិការណ៍សោកនាដកម្មឆ្នាំ១៩៧០-១៩៧៩ ។
