Democratic Kampuchea was the name given in 1976 to the country of Cambodia. It was widely known as the Khmer Rouge an armed revolutionary movement that seized control of the capital city of Phnom Penh on 17 April 1975, after a five year civil war.
របបកម្ពុជាប្រជាធិបតេយ្យគឺជាឈ្មោះដែលត្រូវបានដាក់ឈ្មោះនៅក្នុងឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៦ ទៅកាន់ប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។ មានលក្ខណៈទូលំទូលាយដូចនឹងខ្មែរ ក្រហមក្នុងគោលបំណងដើម្បីធ្វើចលនាបដិវត្ដន៍ប្រដាប់អាវុធ ដើម្បីគ្រប់ គ្រងកាន់កាប់ទីក្រុងរាជធានីភ្នំពេញនៅថ្ងៃ១៧ មេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ អស់រយៈពេល៥ឆ្នាំនៃសង្គ្រាមស៊ីវិល។
