Article 1 of the contitution states that the official name of Cambodia is state of Cambodia. The state of Cambodia is independent, sovereign with territorial integrity, peaceful, democratec, neutral, and non-alligned state.
មាត្រា១ នៃរដ្ឋធម្មនុញ្ញបានចែងថា ឈ្មោះជាផ្លូវការនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជាគឺ «រដ្ឋកម្ពុជា» រដ្ឋកម្ពុជាជារដ្ឋឯករាជ្យ អធិបតេយ្យក្នុងបូរណភាពទឹកដី សន្ដិភាព ប្រជាធិបតេយ្យ អព្យាក្រឹត្យនិងមិនចូលបក្សសម្ព័ន្ធណាមួយ។
