Cambodia was once a great Asian Kingdom that extended across Vietnam to the ocean and devised an elaborate civilization symbolized by the magnificent sculptures and architecture of the Angkor temple. After that Phnom Penh and other towns had been forcibly evacuated. People were forced to go into the fields and jungles, except for a tiny minority.
កម"ុជាធ្លាប់ជាអាណាចក្រដ៏មហិមាមួយនៅអាស៊ី ដែលាតសន្ធឹងពីវៀតណាមរហូតដល់មហាសមុទ្រ និងបានបង្កើតនូវអារិយ្យធម៌ដ៏រុងរឿង តាងដោយចម្លាក់ និងស្ថាបកម្មប្រាសាទអង្គរដ៏ឆើតឆាយ។ បន្ទាប់ពីនោះ ភ្នំពេញ និងទីក្រុងដ៏ទៃទៀតត្រូវបានបង្ខំឱ្យចម្លៀស។ ប្រជាជនត្រូវបានបង្ខំឱ្យទៅព្រៃស្បាត និងវាលស្រែចំការ លើកលែងតែមួយភាគតូចតែប៉ុណ្ណោះ
