Communist forces attacked a provincial capital. Cambodian interim president discussed dissolving the present government and setting up one that might be able to open peace talks with communist insurgents. US ambassador to Cambodia requested a speedy ecacuation of all Americans and a number of Cambodias from the besieged capital.
កងកម្លាំងបក្សកុម្មុនិស្ដបានវាយប្រហារលើរាជធានីខេត្ដ។ នាយករដ្ឋមន្ដ្រីស្ដីទីបានប្រជុំសមាជទាក់ទងនឹង បព្ហារដ្ឋាភិបាលបច្ចុប្បន្ន និង បានបង្កើតមធ្យោបាយមួយអាចបើកិច្ចពិភាក្សាជាមួយនឹងពួកបដិវត្ដន៍កុម្មុយនិស្ដ។ ឯកអគ្គរដ្ឋទូតសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកនៅប្រទេសកម្ពុជា បានស្នើរសុំមានការជម្លៀសនៃជនជាតិអាមេរិកកាំងក្នុងល្បឿងដ៏លឿនមួយ និង ប្រជាជនកម្ពុជាក្នុងរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ។
