A claim by Cambodia that American plans one of its cities, Siem Reap, had prompted speculation and puzzlement. Phnom Penh claimed that on February 25, American F-11 jet fighter-bombers conducted two bombing raids on Siem Reap, near ancient Angkor Wat temple killing 15 civilians and injuring 30 others.
ការអះអាងដោយកម្ពុជាថា មានគម្រោងការមួយរបស់សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកនៃទីក្រុងខ្លួន សៀមរាប បានជំរុញឱ្យមានការភ£ាក់ផ្អើល និង មានភាពងឿងឆ្ងល់។ ទីក្រុងភំ្នពេញបានអះអាងថានៅថ្ងៃទី ២៥ កុម្ភៈ មានយន្ដហោះចម្បាំងសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិក ម៉ូដែល អេហ្វ១១ បានប្រតិបត្ដិវាយលុកគ្រាប់បែកពីរគ្រាប់ (គ្រាប់ទម្លាក់ពីយន្ដហោះ) មកលើ សៀមរាប ក្បែរប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ដ បានសម្លាប់ជនស៊ីវិល ១៥ នាក់ និង រមួស ៣០នាក់ផេ្សងទៀត។
