Ban could damage economic relations in Southeast Asia. US removed Cambodia from the list of nations eligible for special tariffs concession. US commercial exports did not exist in Cambodia pre- 1975. The effects on the American economy that a ban imposed on Cambodia would do.
ការដាក់បំរាមនេះអាចបំផ្លាញទំនាក់ទំនងសេដ្ឋកិច្ចនៅអាស៊ីអាគេ្នយ៍។ សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកបានលុបកម្ពុជាចេញពីតារាងនៃប្រទេសដែលមានសិទ្ធទទួលបានសម្បទានពន្ធពិសេស។ ពាណិជ្ជកម្មសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកទាក់ទងនឹងការនាំចេញគឺគ្មាននំាមកកម្ពុជាទេនៅឆ្នាំមុន១៩៧៥។ ផលដែលកើតមានលើសេដ្នកិច្ចអាមេរិកដែលបានដាក់បម្រាមឱ្យកម្ពុជាបង់ពន្ធអាចនឹងកើតមាន។
