The adequate harvest of 1976 was succeeded by the draught of 1977. The armed conflict between Vietman and Thailand become increasing severe. Economic conditions with internal political machination produced a new of refugees.
ការប្រមូលផលស្រូវនៅក្នុងឆ្នាំ១៩៧៦មានភាពគ្រប់គ្រាន់ហើយទទួល ភាពជោគជ័យទៅតាមអ្វីដែលគ្រោងទុកនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៧។ វិវាទរវាងវៀតណាមនិង ថែបានក្លាយជាសមរភូមិដ៏តឹងរ៉ឹង។ ទិសដៅសេដ្ឋកិច្ចរួមជាមួយនឹងឧបាយកលនៃនយោបាយផ្ទៃក្នុងបានបង្កើតនូវក្រុមជនភៀសខ្លួនថ្មីៗ។
