Captain argued that his ship was seaworthy and that he was not notified by the American authorities about sailing close to Cambodian water. Cambodia seized ship because of this suspicion of carrying bombs, weapon and ammunition to Thailand-not because the ship was in Cambodia territory.
កាពីទែនបានប្រកែកថាកប៉ាល់របស់គាត់គឺជាកប៉ាល់ដែកមានសក្ដានុពលបំផុត ហើយគាត់ក៏មិនបានចាប់អារម្មណ៍ថាអាជ្ញាធរអាមេរិកមិនឱ្យមានការបើកនាវាខិតទៅរកដែនទឹករបស់កម្ពុជា។ កម្ពុជាមានជណ្ដើមយកកប៉ាល់ដោយសារតែនេះគឺជាមន្ទិលសង្ស័យនៃការផ្ទុកគ្រាប់បែក អាវុធ និង អាវុធយុទ្ធភ័ណ្ឌ ទៅប្រទេសថៃ មិនមែនដោយសារតែកប៉ាល់នោះនៅលើទឹកដីកម្ពុជាទេ។
