The Genocide Convention is a response to the attempt by the Nazi regime to eliminate European Jews. After World War II, reporesentatives from a host of countries convented at the UN determined to see that such an atrocity would never again take place.
អនុសញ្ញាប្រល័យពូជសាសន៍គឺជាការឆ្លើយតបទៅនឹងកិច្ចខំប្រឹងប្រែងដោយ របប ណាហ្ស៊ី ដើម្បីកមេ្ទចចោលនូវក្រុមជនជាតិអឺរ៉ុប ជ្វីស។ ក្រោយពី សង្គ្រាមលោកលើកទីពីរ តំណាងប្រទេសជាច្រើនជាភ្ញៀវ ត្រូវបានសន្មត់ នៅអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិដើម្បីប្រាកដថាអំពើដ៏សាហាវយង់ឃ្មងនោះមិន អាច កើតឡើងបានបន្ដទៀត។
