During his years in power, Sihanouk tried to keep the policy of neutrality which was hard for him to free has country from war. After the coup, he worked as a spokesman for the Khmer Rouge in the international stage. I was named head of state after the victory in 1975 and then resigned from the post.
អំឡុងពេលការកាន់អំណាច សីហនុ ព្យាយាមរក្សាគោលនយោបាយអព្យាក្រឹត្យ ដែលពិបាកសម្រាប់លោក ដើម្បីធ្វើឱ្យប្រទេសមានសេរីភាពពីសង្គ្រាម។ ក្រោយពីរដ្ឋប្រហារ សីហនុ បានតែងតាំងជាអ្នកនាំពាក្យរបស់ខ្មែរក្រហមលើឆាកអន្ដរជាតិ សីហនុត្រូវបានដាក់ងារជាប្រមុខរដ្ឋ តែក្រោយពីជ័យជំនះឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ សីហនុ បានលាលែងពីតំណែង។
