The atrocities occured in Democratic Kampuchea under the rule of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge from 1975 to 1979 were dismissed as only the rumors of refugees. Early reports of widespread killing often were rejected as exaggerated or anti-communist diatribes.
អំពើដ៏ឃោរឃៅបានកើតឡើងនៅក្នុងរបបកម្ពុជាប្រជាធិបតេយ្យដែលស្ថិត នៅក្រោមការគ្រប់គ្រងរបស់ ប៉ុល ពត និង ខ្មែរក្រហមពីឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥-១៩៧៩ ដែលបំបាត់នៅនូវពាក្យចចាមរ៉ាមរបស់ជនភៀសខ្លួនជាច្រើន ។ ឯកសារដំបូងបំផុតនៃនការសម្លាប់ពាសពេញប្រទេសជារឿងៗត្រូវបាន បដិសេធចោលដោយពន្លើសឬការតិះដៀលពីអ្នកប្រឆាំងកម្មុយនិស្ដ។
