A new constitution went into effect in Cambodia and the country was officially called Democratic Kampuchea, including new national anthem and new flag. The constitution pledge work for all the countrys seven million people and said that the people had the rights to practice any religion that did not harm DK. The constitution, which has 21 articles, provides for establishment of a legislative assembly consisting of 150 farmers, 50 workers, and 50 soldiers.
ធម្មនុញ្ញថ្មីត្រូវបានចូលជាធរមានជាផ្លូវ&ៈ១២៨់រនៅប្រទេសកម"ុជា ហើយប្រទេសនេះមានឈ្មោះជាផ្លូវកាហៅថា កម"ុជាប្រធិបតេយ្យ រួមទាំងទង់ជាតិ និងភេ្លងជាតិថ្មី។ រដ្ឋធម្ននុញ្ញថ្មីនេះសន្យាធ្វើកាដើម្បីប្រជាជនទាំង៧លាននាក់ទូទាំងប្រទេស ហើយបញ្ជាក់ថាប្រជាជនមានសិទ្ធិក្នុងការគោពសាសនាដែលមិនប៉ះពាល់របស់កម"ុជាប្រធាធិតេយ្យ។ រដ្ឋធម្មនុញ្ញមានចំនួន ២១មាត្រា ផÒល់កាចាប់ផេÒីមបង្កើតសភាដែលរួមមាន កសិករ ១៥០នាក់ កម្មករ៥០នាក់ និងទាហានចំនួន៥០នាក់។
