According to Vice Premier Pan Sothi, the Cambodian high command believed that its forces could last for several months even without army extension by Congress of military aid. Although no major incursions reported the communists had made new penetrations.
យោងទៅតាមលោកឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្ដ្រី ផាន សូធី ជាមេបព្ជាការជាន់ខ្ពស់កម្ពុជាបានជឿជាក់ថា កងកម្លាំងរបស់ខ្លួនអាចនឹងប្រើរយះពេលជាច្រើនខែដោយគ្មានការពង្រីកកងទ័ព ដោយសមាជនៃជំនួយយោធា ទោះបីជាគ្មានការលុកលុយធំក៏ដោយ។ បានរាយការណ៍ថា បក្សកុម្មនិស្ដបានធ្វើការជ្រៀតចូលថ្មីមួយ។
